Sending Otter Transcripts to Clients Without Dumping the Whole Call

Otter's full transcript includes the rambling bits. The summary share is what a client should see.

After a client call, Otter emails me a transcript with every 'um' and sidebar. Forwarding that raw is unprofessional and long. What I send instead is the auto summary plus the action items, which Otter separates out.

The habit: open the call, check the summary tab, trim anything internal, then share that link. The client gets decisions and next steps, not the fifteen minutes we spent finding the right screen share.

If they want the full record, the link has it, but most don't. Leading with the summary respects their time and makes me look organized, which is cheaper than it sounds.

One caution: Otter sometimes misattributes a line when two people talk at once. Before sharing, I scan the action items for the right owner. A wrong 'you own this' is a small embarrassment you can catch in ten seconds.
