I Built a Real Tool in Replit Without Installing Anything
The agent wrote, ran, and deployed a small app from one paragraph. The catch was understanding it later.
I needed a scraper for a one-off task and didn't want a local environment. Replit's agent built it.
I described the input, the output, and the edge cases. It shipped a running app in a browser tab.
The code pulled in libraries I didn't recognize. I asked it to explain each before I trusted the output.
Debugging meant describing the error back to it, which is a different skill than reading a stack trace.
Great for a tool you'll run a few times. For something permanent, learn the code it wrote.
