AI Summary Fatigue Is Real, and I'm Opting Out of Some of It

My notes app, my email, my meeting tool, all summarize now. The pile of summaries is its own job.

Half I rewrite because they flatten tone or guess at meaning. The summary became the draft.

I now turn off summary where I'll read the source anyway. It's less noise, not less help.

Summaries are great when I won't read the original. They're a tax when I will.

Be choosy. Not every text needs a robot telling you what it said.
