1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how BestAIUtility.com ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the site, browse the leaderboard, submit a tool, or pay to claim a rank. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.

2. Who Is Responsible

The controller for personal data processed through the Service is the operator of BestAIUtility.com. For privacy requests or complaints, contact us at support@bestaiutility.com.

3. What We Collect

• Visitor identifier — a random ID stored in a cookie, used to attach a checkout to your browser, limit duplicate counts, and keep the site usable. It is not your name.
• Checkout and listing data — the URL or social handle you submit, the category, the rank amount, and the public name, description, and image we resolve for that destination. Payment confirmation identifiers from our payment processors (Dodo Payments for cards, NOWPayments for crypto) are stored so we can place the ranking.
• Payment data — card details and billing identity are collected by Dodo Payments, our card payment processor, not by us; crypto payments are processed by NOWPayments. Either processor may send us confirmation that you paid and the amount.
• Clicks and visits — when you visit a listing, we may record the listing, a time, a visitor ID, and a hashed IP address. The hash is for rate limiting and abuse prevention, not to profile you.
• Technical data — standard request data such as user agent, referrer, and IP address, processed by our host and analytics providers to operate and secure the Service.
• Product emails — if you subscribe, we collect the email address you provide so we can send updates. We do not use that address to place a ranking.
• Messages you send us — if you email us, we keep that correspondence as needed to respond and to keep a legal record.

4. Cookies

The visitor-ID cookie is a strictly necessary cookie that lets checkout and click protection work; we do not use it for advertising. We may also use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and store a theme preference locally so the page can stay light or dark.

5. Why We Use This Data

• Contract — to take payment, create or raise a listing, show rank, and provide the Service you asked for.
• Legitimate interests — to keep the board fair (rate limits, bot filtering), display public listing metadata, measure visits, debug outages, and defend legal claims.
• Consent — to send the emails you asked for. You can withdraw consent by unsubscribing or emailing us.
• Legal obligation — to keep tax, accounting, and complaint records where the law requires it.

6. Public Listings

Rank, spend, names, images, descriptions, and destination links on the leaderboard are public. Anyone can see them, including search engines. Do not submit a destination if you do not want that information shown publicly. We fetch public metadata from the site or profile you submit so visitors can recognize the listing; that fetch may disclose to the destination that BestAIUtility.com requested the page.

7. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. Some processors may be outside your region; where we rely on them we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

• Dodo Payments — card checkout, Apple Pay and Google Pay. NOWPayments — crypto checkout and payment confirmation.
• Analytics and hosting providers (including Vercel and Supabase) so the site can run and be measured.
• Identity lookup helpers (for example profile and avatar services) so we can show a name and picture for a listing.
• Professional advisers, authorities, or a buyer of the Service if we must share data to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or transfer the project.

8. Data Retention

• Visitor IDs last up to one year in the cookie, or until you clear cookies.
• Public ranking entries stay while the listing is on the board and may remain in backups or activity history for a limited time after removal.
• Payment identifiers and amounts are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, fraud, and dispute handling.
• Click records and IP hashes are kept only as long as useful for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and aggregate counts.
• Newsletter emails stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; we may keep a suppression record.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA). To exercise these rights, email support@bestaiutility.com. Public listing content that also appears on your own site or profile is not made private just by appearing on the board; you can ask us to remove the listing.

10. Children

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the data we can identify.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service or the law changes. The "Last updated" date above is the current version. If a change is material, we will post the updated policy here. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
