My first question is always 'can I verify this?' So I did. I came to Tome because weaves AI images into a narrative deck as you type. That part delivered.
On closer inspection, Midjourney produces artful frames no template builder touches. never gave me the hands I asked for
Neither is clean. Tome export to PowerPoint mangles the layout. Midjourney you describe in prompts, not clicks, and the UI fights you. You feel both within a day.
My call: Midjourney for 'hero art and mood pieces' -- it's the one I trust there. Tome takes 'pitch decks that need visuals fast', where its quirk matters less. Plenty of people flip this; I didn't, because the failure mode of Tome costs me more.
Useful for triage, dangerous for conclusions.
