I was generating short clips in Runway and then manually uploading them to three places every weekend. The creative part took an hour; the distribution took two, and I dreaded it. Zapier didn't make better videos, it removed the chore I kept skipping.
The zap is simple: new file in a folder triggers uploads to the destinations with the caption pulled from the filename. Runway stays in the visual lane; Zapier stays in the routing lane. Neither tries to do the other's job, which is why it's stable.
The one gotcha was captions. Some platforms need the raw URL alone to generate a preview, and my first zap appended text before it and broke the card. A formatter step fixed it, and a single manual test caught it before the whole feed broke.
Verdict: Runway to create, Zapier to distribute. Automate the publish step before you automate anything clever; the chore is what actually steals your time.
