La comparación honesta
Canva is where I make the thing. Zapier is how the thing gets to the place it needs to be without me exporting and uploading it forty times. For a while I did those exports by hand and told myself it was 'staying in touch with the work.' It was just busywork I could have automated.
Canva's strength is the editor and the template library. Its weakness is everything after you hit download. Zapier's strength is exactly that aftermath: watch a folder, post to a channel, log to a sheet, remind future me. It has no opinion about your color palette, which is fine.
The integration is unglamorous. A Zap watches a Canva export folder and distributes the asset. That single connection replaced about three hours a week of copy-paste. I'd been paying for both and using only half of what the pair could do.
If you make one graphic a month, Canva alone is enough. If you run a calendar, the manual export will eat you. Zapier isn't a Canva alternative. It's the thing that lets Canva's output actually move.
