My Podcast Now Has a Second Voice and My Meetings Have None. Both Fixed.

The overlap question seemed fair at first: both are 'audio AI,' both touch transcription, both sit in my workflow. A month later I can tell you the overlap is one thin slice, and everything else is two different products wearing the same category label.

ElevenLabs runs my podcast post-production. The voice cloning fixed our recurring guest problem — remote recordings with a cheap mic get cleaned up or re-voiced for specific patched sentences without re-booking anyone. The uncanny valley is real but smaller every month, and listeners stopped noticing around episode four.

Otter doesn't produce anything. It attends things. Every meeting lands in my inbox as searchable text with speaker labels, and its real value showed up two months in — finding the exact moment a client changed a requirement, in a call I'd otherwise never revisit.
