La comparación honesta
I've been burned by Notion AI demos before, so I tested it like a grudge. The task was ordinary: something a person does twice a week and hates.
Notion AI's edge is simple: sits inside your workspace and drafts, summarizes, and connects your notes
Synthesia, by contrast, spins up a presenter video from text with a stock avatar, no camera
Turns out Notion AI — sits inside your workspace and drafts, summarizes, and connects your notes. If you live in that workflow, keep Notion AI. But if the daily grind is your real bottleneck, Synthesia is the calmer pick.
The honest part: it only knows what's in the page; ask about the wider web and it guesses. the avatars read as corporate, and custom talent costs real money. I'd still keep both installed; they fight different battles.
