I Generated a Game Asset Pack in Leonardo and Stopped Paying an Artist by the Hour
Twenty icons, one style, same palette. The control settings did what Midjourney wouldn't: keep them matching.
I needed a set of UI icons with a unified look and Leonardo's presets delivered what a single Midjourney prompt never could: coherence across the batch.
The workflow was a fixed palette and a character reference shared by every generation, plus manual cleanup on the few that drifted. The first ten were rough; by twenty the set looked like a set.
Where Leonardo beat the alternative is the control, I could say 'same outline, different object' and it mostly listened. Midjourney would have treated each icon as a fresh accident.
It's not a replacement for a senior artist on a hero piece, but for the hundred small assets nobody frames, a controlled generator beats commissioning each one. I shipped the pack and kept the artist for the cover.
