A Product Demo With an Avatar, No Camera, in Synthesia
Write the script per language, localize the on-screen labels, and check the avatar's pacing before shipping.
I needed a product demo and didn't want to be on camera. Synthesia let me write a script, pick an avatar, and produce a talking-head video that explains the screens while they change.
Write the script per language if you localize, don't machine-translate the English one. A literal 'click the hamburger' confuses non-English viewers; a proper line says what the menu is called for them.
Keep the on-screen text in the target language too. An avatar speaking German over English UI labels stalls the learner at exactly the moment they need help, so I localize the labels.
Review the avatar's pacing per language; some need more time per sentence. A clip that feels natural in English can feel rushed dubbed, so I trim the source before shipping the localized version.
