A Zap That Backs Up My Notion to a Spreadsheet, Just in Case
Notion going down used to mean panic. A two-step zap now copies key pages out nightly, and I've stopped holding my breath.
I keep my work in Notion and one outage ruined a day. A zap now copies selected pages into a spreadsheet every night, so the words exist somewhere I control.
Setup was two steps: trigger on a schedule, action to append the page text to a sheet. No code, no new app, ten minutes, and the backup runs whether I remember or not.
It's not a full export, just the pages that matter, which keeps the sheet readable instead of a dump. I almost over-built it with tags and killed the simplicity.
If your brain lives in one app, automate the escape hatch, not the workflow. The zap is dumb on purpose; you're the one who'd panic, and now you won't.
