Stop Using Chatbots as Search. Use Them as a Thinking Partner.
Most people ask a chatbot for a fact it will invent. Ask it to reason about what you already know.
I see people type search queries into ChatGPT and trust the answer. That's the wrong use.
For facts, a source-backed tool like Perplexity or Bing AI beats a closed model that guesses.
ChatGPT and Claude shine when you bring the context and ask them to reason, not recall.
The best prompt I have is here is what I know, what am I missing rather than tell me about X.
Use the bot for judgment, not memory. It's stronger at the first than the second.
