A Zapier Backup That Saved Me When Airtable Went Weird
A nightly copy to a spreadsheet is the cheapest insurance you'll never regret.
I set a Zap to copy my Airtable base to a Google Sheet every night. One morning a bad automation wiped a view, and the sheet was the only clean copy I had.
The setup is trivial: trigger on schedule, list records, append to a backup tab. Ten minutes, no code.
I also added an error alert that pings Slack if the step fails, because a silent backup is the same as no backup. 'No news' is now suspicious, not reassuring.
No-code removed the engineering, not the operations. Watch the thing you automated, or it fails quietly and takes your data with it.
